Simple XLSX: #

You have the option to export and import questions. To do this, go to the Questions section. There are four file formats available for exporting: Simple XLSX, CSV, XLSX, and JSON. You can download examples of each file format to understand their features.

Simple XLSX For a straightforward solution, you can utilize the Simple XLSX file format for importing or exporting questions. Unlike the other file formats, the Simple XLSX file only supports Radio questions.

When you click on the Import button, make sure to check the box if you want to import a Simple XLSX file.

The Simple XLSX file includes the following values:

  • Question: Enter your question in this field.
  • Category: Specify the category for the question.
  • Question explanation: Provide an explanation for your question in this field.
  • Correct answers: Indicate the number of the correct answer.
  • Answer 1/Answer 2 (and so on): Enter the answers for each question.

CSV: #

A CSV file is a text file in which values are separated by commas.

  • Category: Set the name of the question category in this field.
  • Question: Type the question in the provided field.
  • Question image: If applicable, provide the link to the question image.
  • Question hint: Add a hint for the question by including the content.
  • Type: CSV supports all question types except for the Custom (Banner) type.
  • Published: Enter either 1 or 0 to represent Published or Unpublished, respectively.
  • Wrong answer text: Enter a message to display when the user provides a wrong answer. Leaving the field blank will show nothing.
  • Right answer text: Enter a message to display when the user answers the question correctly. Leaving the field blank will show nothing.
  • Explanation: Provide an explanation for the question in this field.
  • User explanation: Enable or disable the user explanation option by typing ‘off’ or ‘on’ accordingly.
  • No influence to score: Similarly, enable or disable the option by typing ‘on’ or ‘off’ to include or exclude the question from score calculation.
  • Weight: Enter a numeric value to assign weight to the question. Use 0 if no weight is required.
  • Answers: The answers are added based on the following structure:
    • Separate answers with double semicolons (;;).
    • Separate options within a single answer with double colons (::).
    • After each answer, add double colons, followed by 1 if it is the correct answer or 0 if it is incorrect.
    • Include weight after double colons, using 0 or another numeric value.
    • Add double colons again for the image associated with the answer. Use 4 colons (::::) if no image is present.
    • If applicable, insert the placeholder and end with double semicolons.
  • Options: This field includes additional options such as Use HTML, Question limit text type, Minimum selection number, etc.
  • Question title: Write the question title in this field.

XLSX: #

All the fields in an XLSX file correspond to those in a CSV file except for the Answers field.

  • For the Answers field, follow this format:
    • Start with a { (curly brace).
    • Insert a quotation mark (“) and write ‘answer‘, then close it with another quotation mark.
    • Use a colon (:) to separate the category name and the corresponding data (answer).
    • Place the first answer between quotation marks.
    • Use a comma to separate each answer and provide the necessary information in the specified sequence.
    • Ensure that you provide both the category name (e.g., answer) and the relevant data (the answer itself) for each entry. The same applies to the image, placeholder, etc.
    • For ordering, assign 1 to the first answer, 2 to the second answer, and so on.
  • It is important to provide weights for all answers, even if some have a weight of 0.

JSON: #

You can also utilize a JSON file for exporting and importing questions. JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is a lightweight data interchange format.

Export filters: #

When you go to the Questions tab, you will see an Export button. Click on this button to configure filters and export your questions to CSV, XLSX, JSON, or Simple XLSX formats. There are four filters available for you to use:

  • Authors: Specify the author of the questions you wish to export.
  • Categories: Set the category of the questions you want to export.
  • Start Date from: Choose the starting date for the questions’ creation.
  • Start Date to: Set the ending date for the questions’ creation.

By applying these filters, you can narrow down your export selection and customize it according to your requirements.
