Question: #

Enter your question in the designated field and use the editor to apply different designs and font styles. You can attach an image directly to the question by clicking the Add Image button. Additionally, you can insert images or other media into the question using the editor.

Question type: #

Select the appropriate question type from the following options:

Radio — This is a multiple-choice question with one correct answer. You can rearrange the answer options and add images (Pro) to each of them. You can also delete or add new answer options. If required, assign weights to the answers.

Checkbox (Multiple) — This is a multiple-choice question with one or more correct answers. You have the flexibility to change the order of answers and add images (Pro) to each of them. You can delete any answer and replace it with a new one. Provide weights (Pro) to the answers if necessary.

Dropdown — This question type presents a list of choices in a dropdown menu, allowing quiz takers to select one answer. It has one correct answer. Similar to the previous types, you can reorder, delete, and add new questions. You can also include images (Pro) and assign weights to answers if needed.

Text — This question type requires the user to type the answer.

Short Text — This question type expects a short answer.

Number — This question type requires the user to enter a numeric answer.

Date — This question type expects the user to enter a date.

Custom (Banner) (Pro) — This additional question serves to provide information to the user. It doesn’t allow for answers or weights. You should give it a title so that it stands out among the various question types on the Questions page. For example, you can insert banners between categories and write introductions about them before they appear.

True/False — The user needs to choose between true or false.

Answers: #

Add possible answers to your question. To indicate correct answers, use the delimiter %%%. For example: US%%%USA%%%United States. This applies only to Text, Short Text, and Number question types. These three types also support the Placeholder attribute, which provides a brief hint about the expected answer.

Use HTML for answers: Enable HTML coding in answer boxes. This feature is available for Radio, True/False, and Checkbox (Multiple) questions only.

Question weight (Pro): #

Assign a weight to the question by entering a numerical value in the provided box. Please note that this weight is not connected to answer weights. However, if you choose the “By weight/points” option (Results Settings → Calculate the score), the score will be calculated by multiplying the question weight with the answer weight.

Question category: #

Select the desired category for your question. If the relevant category is not available in the dropdown list, go to Quiz Maker → Question Categories and click on the Add New button. Provide a title for the category, then save and close it. Finally, return to the Questions page and select the newly created category.

Question tags (Pro): #

You can assign pre-defined categories to your questions.

Question status: #

Specify whether the question is Published or Unpublished. Choosing the Unpublished option will hide the question from your website while keeping it available for quizzes (no need to remove it).

No influence on score: #

By activating this option, the question will not be included in the calculation of the final score. It will serve as a survey question.

Question title (Pro): #

Enter the title of the question here.

For certain question types, you will have additional options.

Hide question text on the front-end: #

This option allows the question to be displayed without the accompanying text. It is useful when the question includes an image.

If you have chosen Checkbox (Multiple) as the question type, you will have two additional options.

Enable maximum selection number: #

Allow users to choose more than one answer, up to a specified maximum value. This option works with the Checkbox type.

Enable minimum selection number: #

Require users to select a minimum number of answers, not fewer than the specified value. This option works with the Checkbox type.

If you have chosen Text/Short text as the question type, you will have two additional options.

Maximum length of a text field: #

Limit the number of characters or words that can be entered in the text field by the user.

Enable case-sensitive text: #

When this option is enabled, the user’s answer must match the specified form exactly. For example, if the correct answer is “true,” then “TRUE” will be counted as incorrect.

When you choose Number as the question type, you will see the following three options in your settings.

Maximum value of a number field: #

Set a maximum allowable value for the number field. For example, if you set the value to 20, users can enter a value that is less than or equal to 20.

Minimum value of a number field: #

Set a minimum allowable value for the number field. For example, if you set the value to 20, users can enter a value that is greater than or equal to 20.

Show error message: #

When this option is enabled, in case a user enters something other than numbers in the answer box for a Number question type, an “Error text” message will appear.
